Some scientific research units concerned have published several theses and have adiscussion on the problem how many marine transanressions have occurred to the wes-tern coast of the Bohai Gulf since Late Pleistocene. It is generally held that there werethree or four marine beds in this area as deposits resulting from the three marine tran-sgreisons.
