A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF SOIL STRATIGRAPHY IN LUOCHUAN LOESS PROFILE

Abstract:
The units of loess and the layers of paleosol occurred alternaely along the Heimogou profile at Luochuang in Shaanxi province. There are 13 layers of reddish-drab paleosol buried in the Middle Pleistocene Lishi Loess and the Upper Pleistocene Malan Loess. And a layer of grey-black relic paleosol situated on top of Malan Loess is well preserved.
