The Holocene stratum of Quzhou district is quite different from other areas of Hebei Plain in terms of the buried depth, thickness, depletion rate, color, grain size, structure and pollen assemblages. All these require further studies and investigations. But the stratum division was based on several AMS 14 C ages, which were coincided with the stratum sequences. It seems unsuspected for its reliability. So, it provides many new ponderations and enlightenments in understanding Holocene stratum and basement tectonics of the Hebei Plain.
