Abstract:

The frequency-domain dipole layer method for processing and transformation of potential field data on curved surface is researched on the basis of existing space-domain dipole layer method. The new method can be applied in the processing and transformation of potential field data, not only observed on a plane or curved surface, but also regular or irregular net data. In order to accelerate convergence in the forward calculation and insure the convergence stability and high speed in inversion, we advanced the technology by translating different z-coordinate distance of the dipole layer surface and calculation surface. The core of the algorithm, single-point FFT, is suitable for irregular net potential field data. We also put forward a frequency-domain processing and transformation technology for irregular net potential field data on curved surface. Through the above techniques, the problems in the data processing and transformation, such as high computing cost for mass data, are solved, in particular the irregular net data on curved surface. And the good quality is demonstrated by the synthetic data examples and field data.
