A STUDY ON THE 3D CRUSTAL STRUCTURE BENEATH TAIWAN BY TELESEISMIC TRANSFORM FUNCTION METHOD
|
Abstract:
According to the three-components teleseismic records, the S-wave velocity structure beneath 59 teleseismic stations of Taiwan by the transform function method and the SA technique. The result shows that the thickest part of the crust is located at the western flank of the Central Range. This conclusion is consistent with the result form the Bouguer gravity anomaly. It indicates that the orogenic evolution of Taiwan is still in the young period, and the developing root of Central Range dose not reach static balance. The crust of Taiwan remains in the state of dynamic equilibrium.
