A viscous-spring artificial boundary for near-field wave analysis in saturated porous media
|
Abstract:
A reasonable artificial boundary is very important for the accurate calculation of wave propagation in energy opening system using Finite Element Method. In this paper, a Viscous-spring Artificial Boundary in saturated porous media is proposed to simulate the effect of energy radiation. Some springs and damps are applied on the artificial boundary to reflect the wave spreading effect in solid/fluid media respectively, while considering the interaction between the solid phase and the fluid phase. Numerical examples indicate that the proposed viscous-spring artificial boundary is appropriate.
