Abstract:

Tanlu fault zone is the biggest one in east China. A series of significant study results have been obtained in the past forty years, but there still are understanding differences on some important issues such as its deep structure. Taking Jiashan-Lujiang segment as research object, this paper researches the interior fine structure and sediment response by analysis combining high precision EMAP method, artificial seismic sections with gravity and magnetism information. It also elaborates the system configulation and the locations of extension and strike-slip faults, and it is figured out that this segment is composed of many faults with laterally different characteristics. The east of Chihe-Taihu fault is strike-slip area, there are three main faults (Chihe-Taihu deep fault, Jiashan-Lujiang fault, and Guhe-Sanbing deep fault) which form normal flower structure; the west of it is extending area, It is composed of three faults near Dingyuan county and two of them (Wuhe-Hefei fault and Shimenshan fault) extend southward into Hefei basin and disappear there. Chihe-Taihu fault extends southward continually and becomes the eastern boundary of Hefei basin. The paper combines with the previous research results on rifting and translation and provides a case for the deep structure research of large scale fault belts.
