SEISMIC-CONTROLLED EXTRAPOLATION OF WELL-LOG PARAMETERS BASED ON FREQUENCY-SHIFT
|
Abstract:
Since seismic data are band-limited, it leads to singularity of extrapolation of well-log data when using seismic data. To overcome the singularity, a novel technique based on frequency-shift, which is popular in communication, is proposed in this paper to extend the bandwidth of seismic data. It transforms the band-limited seismic data into pseudo-supper-resolution data by frequency-shift to control the extrapolation of well-log data. To be seasoned with time-variable wavelet, automatic seismic event tracking and time-frequency techniques are applied to extrapolate well-log data along the stratum adaptively. The results of the extrapolation of velocity and reflectivity show a good perspect of application.
