A decoupling FEM for simulating near_field wave motions in two_phase media
|
Abstract:
A decoupling technique for simulating near_field wave motions in two_phase media is introduced in this paper, which includes lumped_mass FEM, explicit integration procedures and a local artificial boundary condition. First, an equivalent but direct weighted residual method is used to solve boundary value problems. Using this method and considering the precision requirement in wave motion simulation, a lumped_mass FEM for two_phase media with clear physical concepts and convenience in employment is derived. Then, considering the innate attenuation character of the wave in two_phase media, an attenuation parameter is introduced into Liao's Multi_Transmitting Formula (MTF) to simulating the attenuated outgoing wave in two_phase media. At last, two numerical experiments are presented, and the numerical results are compared with the analytical solutions, which demonstrates that the lumped_mass FEM and the generalized MTF introduced in this paper have good precision.
