Integrated geophysics research on distribution of residual basins of Bohai Sea
|
Abstract:
Macro-distribution of Pre-Cenozoic residual basins research is carried out under the guidance of integrated geology and geophysics theory. Based on rock physics properties, the relationship between geological interfaces and physical property interfaces is built, and the distribution of interfaces can be obtained based on different geophysical data. The shallow sedimentary basin structure can be obtained from reflection seismic data; basement undulation and deep structure can be obtained from gravity and magnetic inversion. Regional-residual potential field is separated by forward computation, filter operation and wavelet analysis. Basement undulation is inversed from corresponding anomaly using Parker-Oldenburg method. Residual strata thickness can be computed based on the distribution of the interfaces and macro-distribution of residual basin can be inferred with geological information. A case study of Bohai Sea shows the technique route of macro-distribution research on residual basins. There exist residual basins in south part of Qikou sag, south and northeast part of Shijiutuo uplift and Liaodong Bay area, and they have Pre-Cenozoic oil and gas potential.
