By introduction the fully normalized associated Legendre function to expound two types of expansions of tidal generating potential normalized using different methods in the world,the expression of function of the tidal potential becomes simple and clear;also the definitions of the geodetic coefficients are even more standard.Through that the conversion coefficients between Doodson and Hartmann & wenzel normalizations have been obtained.
