Gold and Silver Film Optical Fiber SPR Sensors
|
Abstract:
The type of metal films deposited on the surface of fiber core plays a very important role on the properties of an optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor. The output spectra of gold and silver optical fiber SPR sensors are presented theoretically according to equation of the sensors and compared with experimental results. The results show that the theoretic output spectrum is consistent with experimental one for the silver sensors but not for the gold sensors. And the reason is given out in the end.
