A Study on Zoning "New Three Macro-Regional Development Zones" of Regional Economy of China

With fast development of regional economy and society of China, the "T hree Macro-Regional Development Zones", which is still in effect, is now hard to meet the requirements of the new situation under the guidance of integrated-con sidering regional development. According to the demands of the scientific viewpo int of development and the "five-integrated-considerations", after introducing w hat is a full regional economic system and the actual full four-layer regional e conomic system of USA, this paper puts forward a new zoning project of the "Thre e Macro-Regional Development Zones" and the 10 comprehensive economic districts of the regional economy of China: the "New Three Macro-Regional Development Zone s" include the Northeast and East Coastal developing zone, the Middle and Near-R each-West developing zone, and the Far-Reach-West developing zone; the 10 compre hensive economic districts are composed of the Northeast District, the Beijing-T ianjin-Hebei-Shandong Coastal District, the Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang Coastal Di strict, the Guangdong-Fujian-Hainan Coastal District, the Upper and Middle Reach es of the Yellow River District, the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze Riv er District, the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Pearl River District, Inner Mon golia District, Xinjiang District, and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau District.
