Calculation of the Absorption Efficiency for Double-clad Fiber by Using Modal Analysis Method
双包层光纤激光器泵浦吸收效率的模场计算方法

Based on the theory of mode analysis,a new method to calculate the absorption efficiency for symmetric or offset double clad optical fibers(DCF) is presented. Both symmetric and offset conditions have been analyzed. Our results are in principle consistent with but more accurate than that of previous ray optics method.
