THE GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SUBTROPICAL MOUNTAIN SOIL AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH NEOTECTONIC MOVEMENT
|
Abstract:
The results of the study show that the characteristics of soil situated at low altitude in weathering and leaching, enrichment of Fe2O3 and its morphological transformation and clay mineral types are extremely similar to the soil located at high altitude in Emei Mountain, Tianmu Mountain and Fengyang Mountain. But there are distinct differences in the geoche-mical characteristics of soils developed on horizontal zone of the same temperature differences'. Based on the above statement, the strength of neotectonic movement is identical with the result of predecessors' investigation. This paper would be significant for classifying mountain soil and developing the ways of neotectonic movement.
