A STUDY OF GEOGRAPHICAL EXPERT SYSTEM

Geographical Expert System(GES) is the combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Geographical Information System (GIS). Based on the development of GES, GIS is a Computer software system with definite geographical professional ability to operate geographical data and inference with geographical knowledge. Geographical expert system is composed of three parts, namely geographical data base, geo-graphical knowledge base and geographical inference engine. We have designed a GIS (MC-G1S) and used it as the global data pase of Microcomputer Geographical Expert System (MC-GES). In this paper, the principles and methods of GES are discussed with a production of MC-GES based on rules, which is designed by Ourselves with C Language.
