A New Fossil Species of the Diatom Mastogloia Thweites from Northwestern Tibet
西藏西北部胸隔藻属Mastogloia Thwaites中的一个新化石种

A new fossil diatom species, Mastogloia tibetica (sp. Nov), is defined and described in this paper. The species was discovered by the authors in the Late Pleistocene flora of Taicuo Lake, Rutog County, northwestern Tibet. The specimens dealt with in this paper were photographed by means of Light Microscopy (LM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The tolerance of this species to salinity and its similarities to other species are also discussed.
