ON THE CTRUCTURAL TYPES OF BAMIANSHAN ARC AND THE MECHANISM OF THEIR FORMATION

Abstract:
Prof. T. K. Huang(1945) indicated that in southwestern Hubei and north-western Hunan a very wide belt of more or less parallel folds occurs infront of the Caledonides of Jiangnan. The axes of the folds strike nearly NE-SW. Parallel with the leitlinien of the Caledonides into which they actuallymerge. We call these folds the Bamianshan Arc.
