Discoveray of the Lower Triassic Acritarchs in Tarim Bain
|
Abstract:
critarchs are described from the Lower Triassic of the Tarim basin for the first time and allocated to 11 genera and 13 species, among which two species are new. Acritarch, mainly Veryhachium and Micrhystridium, occur together with abundant spores and pollen grains. The lower Triassic strata of the Tarim basin were previously considered to be a continental deposition. However, the acritarchs population here described suggest that the Lower Triassic is a marine environment in Tarim basin, and perhaps a littoral deposition.
