Natural Disaster Risk--A Preliminary Discussion
自然灾害风险初议

The study and assessment of natural disaster risk,which has been regarded as the frontier of natural disaster science studies, have proved to be basic foundation for laying down the disaster reduction countermeasures, planning land use, planning social development and economic construction and carrying out insurance business. In this paper, the characteristics, classification,engendering factors, elements,structural features,analytical methods and general research steps of the natural disaster risk are discussed preliminarily,which aim at promoting the study of natural disaster risk in China.
