The development of MT database is one of the sub items in "Project of The Share and Contrast Research on Deep Geophysical Exploration Data" assigned by Ministry of Land and Resources. This paper describes the research process of the MT database sub item and deals in detail with the necessity of MT database, the selection of development platforms, the system structure and the function design.
