The Present Situation of the Research on the Automatic Interpretation of Potential Data and Its Significance

Automatic interpretation of potential data is described in this paper. The features of the gravity and magnetic field were studied by the conventional qualitative analysis method, whereas the distribution of density and magnetization subsurface was studied through inversion computation with the automatic interpretation. In this way, more geological structural information can be provided. This paper describes not only the research situation of the automatic interpretation but also the difficulties existent in this interpretation.
