SWOT Analysis and Further Development of the Luochuan Loess National Geopark

Owing to the weak tourist market, the Luochuan Loess National Geopark fails to show its potential high quality loess geological heritage. With SWOT analysis, the authors made a systematic diagnosis and conceived a series of developing strategies for the Luochuan Loess National Geopark, such as developing a modern geological museum and training professionals, intensifying science popularization, integrating it into world geoparks, separating management from property right, and financing. The purpose is to provide a solid basis for the further development of the geopark and the sustainable development of the local society.
