Groundwater resource database of Northwest China include attribute database and spatial database, which are based on Microsoft Access 97 and ESRI ARCVIEW 3.1 respectively. This paper describes the main content, framework, and metadata of the groundwater resource database of Northwest China, and deals with the designing idea of dynamic HTML page as well as the train of thought for browsing and querying spatial data based on WebGIS.
