The Construction of Digital Global Geoscience Transect Map Database
全球地学断面数字化图形数据库建设

With the software system of MAPGIS, the database of graphs and properties has been established based on the digitization of six geoscience transects completed by the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of China. A graph library management system based on the database has also been developed. The importance of the established database and the associated management system lies in the fact that they can save permanently the material, enhance the study of the crust upper mantle structure in China and ensure the geoscience data sharing and the transects comparing between China and abroad.
