Mineralizations Related to Mantle Plume and Hotspot
|
Abstract:
The mantle plume and hotspot tectonics is a frontier topic for the modern geology, however, it has been researched poorly by now even in China. This paper discusses the mineralizations related to the Inantle plume and hotspot in view of its evolution and distribution. Mantleplume and hotspot may be located whthin a plate or on the boundary of plates, and may occurpresently or anciently, so they can influence mineralizations in different part of the crust and indifferent evolution stages of the earth history. preside this, there are different kinds of mineralization in different stages of the mantle plume. Related mineral deposits Include tin, copper, lead analzinc, rare earth element, gemstone and so on. The characteristics of east wolfram west 'tin and eastold west young for the mineralizations in south China, the Emei basalt of Permian, the llayan oboREd deposit, and the tin--poly--metallogenetic series associated with alkallc igneous rocks in Altayorogeny may be related to mantle plume--hotspol tectonics.
