A Study of the Brine Solarizing Behavior in Solar Ponds of Zabuye Salt Lake
|
Abstract:
The subject of this paper is the brine in Zabuye salt lake of Tibet Plateau. In summer, the composition of the brine in large solar ponds was recorded. With the research on the enrichment and depletion behavior of the brine composition, the record provides the industrial basic data for the comprehensive utilization of the brine. The experimental results show that the enrichment of Li + in brine is rather low, the concentration of Li + can only go up to 1.8 g/L, and the precipitation of Li + is very dispersive. During the last period of the experiment, there was a climax for the deposition of Li 2CO 3, but its content in solid phase is not higher than 4%. During the last period,CO 3 content in brine and the temperature of brine rose very quickly. Those seem to be dominating effects for the rapid precipitation of Li + from brine. During the last period,K + and B 2O 3 were rapidly enriched in brine, which was beneficial to the separation of sylvite from borax.
