The Distribution Characteristics of Water-Soluble Composition of Atmospheric Aerosol over North of the South China Sea
|
Abstract:
An Andersen particle sampler (Model 20-709) is used for collecting and measuring atmospheric total aerosol samples over the South China and South China Sea during period from January 1988 to July1990. The mass distributfon of total aerosol and the distribution of water-soluble chlorine, nitric, sulphuric, sodium, ammonia, potassium,-calcium and magnesium ions have been analyzed. The resulitsshow that the concentrations of total aerosol and water-soluble composition in island stations are obvi viously lower than in seaboard stations and inland stations. Their size-distribution mostly exhibits atripeak distribution. The water-soluble sulphuric, chlorine, calcium and sodium ions in aerosols are hemost important ions composition islands and in seaboard stations. The concentration of water-solublechlorine and sodium ions in aerosols in the island and seaboard stations are obviously higher than in Inland stations of South China, but the concentration of ammonia ions is lower.
