WAVETRAIN CONSTRUCTION OF 3-5 YEAR CYCLE
3—5年周期的波列结构

Time series of all gridpoints are calculated by a band-pass filter of 3-5year cycle on the Northern Hemisphere 500 hPa height departure from Jan. 1951 to Dec. 1986.Level construction of the 3-5 year cycle is discussed by simultaneous temporal correlation between filtered-500 hPa height departure of each gndpoint and of at the Northern Hemisphere locations. We find that the 3-5 year cycle is provided with wavetrain construction. There are main three wavetrains on the 576 correlation figures. The source and propagation direction of these wavetrains are also discussed.
