This paper describes the project of Internet GIS information publishing system of Guangzhou Urban Planning Bureau In our solution, ESRI's IMS 2 0 is selected as GIS publishing Server, CGI is selected as basic programming technique of Web GIS , and the WWW interaction is achieved It is concentrated on the development and application from the requirement of hardware and software , the development of Web server application and design of Web home pages ,and so on
