Propagation Characteristics of Anisotropic Incoherent Vector Beams

Abstract:
The propagation characteristics of anisotropic incoherent electromagnetic vector beams in free space are investigated by using Poynting vector method. The energy distribution in the beam cross-section is analyzed, and the condition under which the energy peak happens to be on the center of the azimuthally polarized beams is obtained. Also the influence of incoherence on dipolar beams is studied. There are two sidelobes beside the energy peak of beams, whose location move in the propagation. And the movements of the sidelobes are different to different incoherence. Finially,It is found that there are three different types of evolution of the beam profile during the propagation.
