The Spatial Virtual Polarization Filtering Algorithm Based on Dual Polarized Antenna Radar
|
Abstract:
Based on polarization differences between jamming signal and target echo, polarization filter can combat active suppression jamming effectively. However, traditional polarization radars consist of two transmitting channels and receiving channels, facing such limits as system complexity, high realization cost. As a result, a novel polarized radar model named as dual polarized antenna radar is advanced. It can realize polarization measurement using only single transmitting channel and receiving channel. Based on spatial polarization characteristic of dual polarized antenna, received signal models of active suppression jamming and target echo are given, and spatial virtual polarization filtering algorithm to counter active suppression jamming is advanced. Following results can be obtained from simulations: For narrowband noise frequency modulation jamming, Signal Interference Ratio (SIR) improvement factor can be greater than 20 dB.
