A Novel Data Estimation Technology-dEWMA and Its Application to RED Gateway

This paper firstly presents a novel estimation technology-dEWMA (double Exponential Weighted Moving Average), which employs two EWMA filters to measure data , overcomes the defect that traditional EWMA estimation technology does not achieve fine agility and stability, and provides much more accurate , flexible data estimation. Secondly, the effectiveness of dEWMA is validated by applying to RED gateway. The simulations show that the performance of RED with dEWMA is better than that of RED with non-dEWMA.
