A MEASUREMENT OF THE PARAMETER OF INFRA-RED DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDE

Abstract:
Basing on the approximate solution of the mode equation and considering the dispersion property of LiNbO3, a method is proposed to measure the main parameters of infra-red dielectric waveguide by means of the visible laser. The experimental results are shown and discussed. In this paper the proposed method is simple and reliable, and especially point out that it well solve the measuring of the parameters of the single mode waveguide, therefore it is an useful method.
