MEASUREMENT OF FLIGHT ATTITUDE OF A PROJECTILE BY PINHOLE CAMERA
|
Abstract:
Measurement of flight attitude of a projectile, especially in the trajectory within 200m from the gun muggle, is one of the great important exterior ballistic tests, Since it is closely connected with the research of flight stability and fire dispersion. The methods of measuring attitude at present are yaw cards, ballistic range and high speed photography, etc, Yaw card is simple and economical, but it interferes movement of projectile. Its accuracy is low; Ballitic Range can get accurate data, but a series spark flash photograph stations have to be set up with a huge investment. Ballitic syncho camera and high speed framecamera can also measure attitude, but the accuracy is lower and expend vast, so they haven't being utilized extensively in fact. The method of pinhole camera which is set up at the cone of a projectile, can record the yaw-time curve directly by a frequency-flash parallel light. This method is simple, economical and accurate, Its defect is of recovering the fired projectile.
