A NEW PULSE GENERATOR FOR GENERATION OF EXTREMELYFAST TRIANGLE WAVEFORM
新型超快速三角波脉冲电路的研究

The investigation of new triangle waveform pulse generator is discussed in this paper. A series of avalanche transistors is used as switch sets of this pulse generator. In order to obtain triangle waveform, two strings of avalanche transistors, which are triggered in different modes, are used to charge and discharge a capacitor respectively. It is worth emphasizing that only one trigger pulse is needed for the whole circuit. The half width of 3.5 ns, the rising and falling time of about 2 ns and amplit tude of ?1.3kv have been achieved with this unit. Its delay time is about 8.3 ns. It is intended to be used in specially designed picosecond and nanosecond framing camera and in picosecond and femtosecond streak camera.
