INFLUENCE OF STRAY CURRENT OF OIL PIPELINE UNDER HIGH-VOLTAGE TRANSMITTING LINE
|
Abstract:
Nearby the places where pipelines were buried there always exist high-voltage electric transmitting lines, and therefore, from the pipelines stray current may intensively be released and run into the ground. When high-voltage lines are parallel to or over-crossing pipelines, there should be a strong stray current in the pipelines, and as the distance of high-voltage line to pipelines becoms shorter, the stray current becomes stronger. Under the effects of stray current, the corrosion of pipelines is being accelerated. In order to prevent the pipline from corrosion induced by stray current, methods of current drainage should be put into effect in such areas.
