INFLUENCE OF SACCHARIN ON CORROSION-RESISTANCE PROPERTIES OF ELECTROLESS NICKEL COATING

Abstract:
By means of electrochemical measurements, XRD and surface morphology analysis, the influence of saccharin brightener on electroless plating nickel coating was studied. The results show that saccharin can increase the corrosion resistance of electroless plating nickel coating in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium chloride, while decrease the corrosion resistance in solutions of sodium hydroxide. Based on the experimental results, the relevant mechanism was also primarily analyzed.
