STUDY FOR STRESS CORROSION CRACKING OF 16MnR STEEL IN H2S CONTAINING SOLUTION BY SLOW STRAIN RATE CORROSION TEST

Abstract:
Slow Strain Rate Test was adopted to investigate the stress corrosion crack(SCC) sensitivity of 16MnR steel in H2S solution.The equation to evaluate the SCC sensitivity of 16MnR steel was revised.The results showed that the effect of pH value on SCC is obvious and the H2S concentration for inducing SCC of 16MnR Steel is related with pH value.
