ATMOSPHERIC CORROSIN OF CARBON STEEL AND LOW ALLOY STEEL IN TROPIC RAINFOREST ARER XISHUANGBANNA
|
Abstract:
After 4 years of atmospheric exposure test in Xishuangbanna district.Corrosion of the tested steels follows index function law.Along with the increase of test time, corrosion rate of the steels reduces gradually. The loose rust scale on carbon steel is easy to spall. The corrosion of carbon steel was more serious than that of low alloy steels. The rust scales on low alloy steels are compact. The low alloy steels have better resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
