Based on the coupled-mode theory,the mismatched coupler assisted Bragg grating is theoretically analyzed for the operation in LP 01 mode The equations governing the coupling phenomenon are obtained The design principles of the mismatched coupler assisted Bragg grating for wavelength division multiplexing/demultiplexing application are presented.
