CROSSION OF SEVERAL METALLIC MATERIALS IN HIGH-ACIDIC CRUDE OIL

Abstract:
In this paper,corrosion behavior of several metallic materials in high-acidic oil from Africa is studied.Corrosion tests are carried out respectively in the crude oil,desalted crude oil,fractions of crude oil,atmospheric residual oil,crude oil of removing acid,viscosity-decreased residual oil and fractions of viscosity-decreased residual oil.The factors affecting corrosion rates of the material in high-acidic oil are discussed.The results can be used in selecting material and anti-corrosion techniques for oil refining industry.
