PARALLEL STRUCTURE PREDISTORTION LINEARIZATION OF THE OPTICAL FIBER AM-CATV EXTERNALLY MODULATED TRANSMITTER

Abstract:
In this paper,theoretical analysis has been done for the predistortion linearization of the intrinsic Composite Triple Beat Distortion (CTB) compensation in optical fiber AM CATV externally modulated transmitter.A novel predistortion nonlinear compensation circuit with parallel structure is presented,and it has been designed based on the complementary diode array.Experimental results have shown that this predistortion circuit compensates the CTB at least 15dB in the wide passband from 50MHz to 550MHz,and has no effect on the Composite Second Order Distortion (CSO) in the same time.
