BLUE-SHIFT OF MODE IN MULTIPLE QUANTUM WELL ASYMMETRIC FABRY-PEROT MODULATOR CAUSED BY ELECTROREFRACTION

Mode blue-shift is experimentally observed in GaAs/GaAlAs multiple quantum wellasymmetric Fabry-Perot modulator. Refractive index change under perpendicular electric field iscalculated in theory and an effective-optical-path method is introduced to analyze the shift of themode. The theoretical analysis is in agreement with the experimental results.
