Evaluation of heart function by strain rate imaging in children with Kawasaki disease

Abstract:
Objective To assess heart function by strain rate imaging in children with Kawasaki disease.Methods A total of 38 subjects with Kawasaki disease were hospitalized from 2008 to 2009 and were retrospectively analyzed.Eighteen healthy subjects were enrolled.The systolic period and isovolumic relaxation of 12 segments were diagnosed by strain rate imaging.The features including two-dimension echocardiography were analyzed and compared.Results The systolice and diastolic strain rate were decreased significantly ...
