PERFORMING SIMULTANEOUS STREAK AND FRAMING WITH PLANE LIGHT PATH IN WAITING ROTATING MIRROR CAMERA

Abstract:
The rotating mirror cameras can be divided into two types according to their picture forms. One type is streak camera, another is framing camera. The best way to obtain more information is to performing simultaneous streak and framing in one camera. The famous camera abroad is Model 330A made by USA. Because the tilted light path.Bery Ilium rotating mirror and Helium technology were applied in that camera, it is complex and has a lot of difficulties to be made by our country. In this paper, a new method of Si multaneous streak and framing is described:Plane light path in two layers was used to performing the streak and framing. Some kinds of available waiting forms were studied. Optimization of the structure was made in order to decrease the dimension and inlet angle, increase the light power and get the high quality of image. Compared with the system of tilted light path, its characteristics were studied. The design parameter of the optical system were given.In the test, high strength Aluminium hexagon mirror was applied. Its strength and defo-ormation were calculated accurately by using theory of elasticity mechanics. We found the deformation of Aluminium mirror is only 1.45 times greater than that of Beryllium mirror. Its linear velocity can reach 816m/s. Strength and deformation tests were taken. The results showed that its characteristics conform to the theory and 'meet the needs.The advanced vacuum technology was used. Compared with filling Helium, the cost price is sharply decreased.
