A NEW MODEL OF PORTABLE HIGH SPEED CAMERA

Abstract:
A portable 35mm high speed camera with compensatory prism has been developed. The hightest frequence is 500f/s, the exposure time is less than 1/5000s. It is suitable for studies of the field photography, airflow in a wind tunnel etc. Using of a coaxal shutter system, the camera has a rather simple structure, lighter wieght and smaller dimension than other 35mm high speed cameras. The weight of the camera is less than 8kg and 1/5- 1/10 of other cameras with same type. The price is 1/3- 1/5 of other cameras.This paper explained the design method of the shutter and the applications in studies for wind sand and biomechanics.
