CONTROL OF GALVANIC CORROSION OF DISSIMILAR METALS OF SEAWATER PIPELINES IN NAVAL VESSELS

In order to control and avoid galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals for seawater pipelines in naval vessel's,an electric insulating method has been put forward in this paper.At the same time,the measuring methods of insulating performance in both dry and immersed conditions have been proposed and the insulating effect of four sets of dissimilar metals have been evaluated.The results showed that the insulating flanges,sleeves,brackets were the most effective way to prevent galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals for seawater pipelines in naval vessel's.
