KINETICS ANALYSIS OF NAPHTHENIC ACID CORROSION OF ALLOY STEELS FOR ATMOSPHERIC AND VACUUM EQUIPMENT
|
Abstract:
The naphthenic acid corrosion of six different alloy steels in crude oil was tested. The effects of temperature and flow state on corrosion rate of the alloy steels were investigated. The apparent reaction rate constant and activation energy were obtained. Based on the experimental results, we get the conclusion that the apparent reaction rate constant and activation energy related with corrosion rate of alloy steel. Corrosion rate will be reduced when lowering the apparent reaction rate or enhancing the activation energy.
