APPLICATION OF PHOSPHATE PRETREATING IN PPS/FEP COMPLEX- COATINGS

Abstract:
The adhasive strength of polyfluorinated ethylene propylene(FEP)/polyphenylene sulfide(PPS)complex-coatings was determined by the pull-off test.The morphology,structure and composition of zinc phosphate film were examined by SEM and EDS.The influence of heating temperature and time on the phosphate film and the properties of coating/ferrous interface was studied.It was shown that the heating affacts seriously the structure of the phosphate-film and the properties of FEP/PPS complex-coatings.The phosphate pretreating can be used to prepare 400um FEP/PPS coatings and its bonding strength reaches 14 MPa.
